Caladbolg – Ultra Greatsword of Light
This weapon was made entirely in Nifskope, using nothing but 100% in-game assets. There are no new blender/3ds shapes or designs added. This is also my first ever mod, so please provide feedback and be patient with me.
This weapon is, as far as I know, the first weapon on the Nexus that actually has a modified reach (it matches up almost perfect with the length of the blade). This was done using FO4Edit.
Downloading this mod will also re-texture your Pool Cue to be a smooth black, and your Pool Cue Blade to a smooth white. It will also reduce the size of the Blade modification to 1/2 of its original size; this was done to prevent it from clipping from through the new blade. I don’t think anyone actually uses the Pool Cue, so this shouldn’t be much of an issue.
This is a standalone weapon. You will not encounter any NPCs with it (at least I haven’t in 140+ hours). Can only be obtained through console commands (player.additem xx000800 1).
This is also an extremely powerful weapon. Most likely you haven’t used any weapon as strong as this (for example, the base damage of the Super Sledge is 40; the base damage of Caladbolg is 150), so I recommend this only for players who want to feel super OP. If enough people request it, I suppose I can make a nerfed version of it.
I also strongly recommend you download Subtle Chinese Sword retexture by user BIOHAZARDCURE to give your weapon a nice, clean look. The Bladed part of the weapon uses the Chinese Officer Sword textures, so if you have the default textures, your weapon will look significantly less OP.
The name comes from the Greatsword in Irish Mythology, which was said to be powerful enough to blast the tops off of hills.
