Dark and Cool cinematography

DESCRIPTION
This is a very light visual mod that improves the color palette. It de-surates and darkens the colors for a more Dark and Cold visual atmosphere and also sharpens the textures. The intention is immersion, to look less like a “game” and more like a dark movie.
It is based on the SweetFX suite but only uses the Tonemap and Luminance sharpening functions. This means that it is especially light for the computer. It does NOT slow down framerate and it is also perfectly suited for both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.
INSTALLATION
Extract the downloaded file somewhere in your computer.
Copy and Paste the extracted files and folders into the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4” folder (or wherever there is the fallout4.exe)
That’s it. If the new settings compile successfully, next time you play the
game, you will see a related message in the loading screen of the game.

If you want to make it brighter
Since every graphics setup is different, if you like the feeling of this mod, but need to make it brighet, here’s how to do it:
– go to SweetFX_settings.txt file located in SweetFX folder
– search for #define Gamma
– lower the value of #define Gamma from 1.050 to something like 0.600
– the lower the #define Gamma the brighter the image
Optional Extreme effect
If you want a MORE drastic effect (even less color and light) you can replace the SweetFX_settings.txt in the
SweetFX folder with the SweetFX_settings.txt included in the dark-less-color.zip
