In vanilla, an irradiated flamer outclasses any type of gamma gun(except Lorenzo’s Artifact), it has cheap ammo, no perk required to upgrade, no need to reload during combat, does almost the same DPS as a gamma gun and almost always hit their target, one just need to press the button and anything in range that affect by radiation will be eliminate, thus makes gamma guns worthless and why this mod is created.
The mod removes gamma gun’s recoil during hip-fire(and hip-fire only) completely, and sharply rises hip-fire accuracy, also the required perk to craft “Sharpshooter’s Grip” is changed to level 2 “Science!” from level 2 “Gun nut”.
Truth to be told though, even with this mod installed, an irradiated flamer is still a better choice if you have one.
