(Horizon) NER – Smoothbore Colony

Small, cozy build that adds a fortified desalination plant.

Smoothbore Colony is a rather small outpost. Discovered when the General and Freedom Company found a nanobot bench, Smoothbore’s Lament was a swamp, yet lush and vibrant. Making the most of what he could do, the General then ordered a base to be established here. Natural gas extractors were placed in the swamp, which could not support large-scale fishing operations or even docks. Instead, the local population would consist mainly on tarberries.

Due to the large amounts of resources to secure Barrenwood, the colony was made very cramped and contained. Most of the resources were spent on making five desalination machines, along with purifiers and pumps. Due to the dangerous machinery, the cantina does not serve alcohol, and chems are used sparingly. In case there is any accident, onsite medical workers are quick to respond. The doctors also keep watch on any diseases encountered in the swamps.

Smoothbore Colony is not as fortified as other colonies, as the only possible enemy combats are ferals and the occasional gulpers.
