Insignificant Object Remover

Why are we rendering this crap?

Originally made by request for Skyrim, this mod reduces the density of insignificant objects to 0, effectively removing their existence safely from your game. No scripts, no dirty edits, just increased performance.

Wait, I know You…

Special thanks to HTH Mods, noparking95, and Tyrannicon for featuring this mod in their videos:

It shouldn’t matter. If I had a gamma gun to my head I would say place it after mods that edit landscapes.

FAQs:

Q: What exactly did you remove?
A: Procedural “grass” that isn’t actually grass – These objects are spawned in varying densities in a radius around the player when you load an area. Things like small stones, rubble, concrete debris, the crap underwater, a couple twigs, the stuff you probably never noticed and can’t interact with.

Q: Why did you do this?
A: Because your processing/rendering power is better used generating things you can actually see.

Q: How much performance do I gain?
A: Depends on the scene, draw distance, hardware etc. If your computer is less than 3 or 4 years old, there’s a good chance you won’t need this mod.

Q: Does this mess up the new “Weapon Debris” feature added for NVIDIA (PhysX/FleX) users in patch 1.3.x?
A: Absolutely not. Your weapons will still generate real time debris that can be interacted with.

Q: Is this compatible with…?
A: Probably. This mod doesn’t actually delete anything so there’s really no chance of CTD.

Q: What kind of PC was used in the images?
A: AMD FX 6300 3.5ghz, Geforce GTX 950 2gb, 8gb ddr3-1600. Game running on ultra settings (high for godrays/shadows) @1920×1080 with HBAO + TAA on.

Q: I don’t get it.
A: Those little rocks, twigs, bits of concrete, and piles of rubble in the screenshots aren’t physical objects in the game world. It’s actually GRASS that’s generated on the fly using PARAMETERS initialized when you launch the game. I’m essentially removing 1/4 of all the grass you don’t see to try and net older systems a few additional FPS.

You won’t CTD because I didn’t swap any meshes or delete any references. Even if another mod uses junk I removed, the engine will still have all the necessary information to attempt to draw that junk at a density of 0.

In the eyes of the engine it’s all just grass to be processed, but to our human eyes it’s grass mixed with a ton of insignificant objects. Objects that will no longer exist once you activate this esp.
