Leather Coat – Recolors by Frictionfactor

When I first saw this outfit in a video at E3, I thought the outfit looked really awesome, and knew it would be my armor of choice. I thought that changing the jeans to fatigues would be perfect for my character. It’s perfect for an ex soldier/mercenary/wasteland wanderer type that I always like to play. Then when the game came out, the outfit turned out to be a huge disappointment because it had such low stats, and couldn’t be modified at all in game. I assumed that I would have to wait until the CK comes out, but a mod author named Gambit77 made a mod where this armor could be modded and ballistic weaves could be added, thus making it viable.

I decided to leave the outfit mostly stock, as in my opinion, it looks really good that way. I sharpened the image a fair bit (because the coat was pretty blurry), and I also sharpened the hood and mask to go along with it. Finally, I changed the jeans to be either camo or olive drab fatigues, your choice. The objects that are affected and their id’s are:

Leather Coat (732b5)
Traveling Leather Coat (732b9)
Green Hood (787ec)
Assault Gas Mask (7239e)

NOTE: The camo pattern is not perfect. The UV mapping on the legs is skewed a bit, so it makes it difficult to line up a pattern. Also, the Camo is not meant to represent any specific nation’s army. The colors were taken and averaged from several well known camos from the US, Russia, and UK. The pattern itself was created in GIMP with random seeds as to not replicate any known or copyrighted patterns.
