Specular Mapped Power Armor Hands
What is a specular map?
Simple–it’s a miscellaneous texture used by the game that controls how the diffuse map (or the texture that you can clearly see) reflects light.
Most textures have a corresponding specular map, and if a texture is without a specular map, such as the default power armor hands, the texture appears matte and doesn’t reflect light like metal like it’s supposed to.
I made this fix due to the fact that the power armor frame you see in third person has a specular map and reflects light like metal rightly so. However, this effect was missing from the first-person hands. And you should know I’m a slut for continuity as well and this bothered the fuck outta me.
A small difference but the effect is noticeable.
The black power armor frame and hands are not included, just the specular maps.
It’s actually someone else’s that I modified a little myself so it isn’t exactly on the Nexus, but this one is pretty much the same thing.
