Chicago Blues Radio

Chicago Blues Radio

Install this and your pipboy will pick up a skywave broadcast from a radio station in post-apocalyptic Chicago that plays Chicago blues recordings from the ’50s to early ’60s! Why Chicago blues? I’ve selected songs I think fit into the game well and enhance the atmosphere in a very unique way. I also want to give people who might not have been exposed to this kind of music a chance to listen.

I’ve made slight adjustments to each track to make them sound more tinny, like they’re actually being played through the pipboy. I believe this enhances the atmosphere even further.

I don’t plan on stacking multiple songs under the same track like some other mods have, but I will add more once the G.E.C.K. is released. There are two versions of “Chicago Blues Radio”, one which only replaces the songs on Classical Radio, and one that also replaces the main menu song with “Five Long Years” by Junior Parker.

Installation:

1) Download the version you would like; with or without main menu music replacement.

2) Extract the contents of the .zip to your Data folder (Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data).

3) Open your Fallout4.ini and replace “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\” with “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\,
INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\”.
