Less HUD mod
This mod cleans Player’s UI to make it more immersive. Use it with PipBoy Companion app to receive your character’s status in real time or just use your PipBoy in game.
What’s changed?
Removes a lot from the UI, except few things
So now:
Health and Action Points only on Status Screen. It’s your main screen from now on if you in combat
Compass is gone. Use your Map screen to know where are you
Enemy health is gone too, but it’s visible from VATS. Enemy name is still on screen, because otherwise you won’t know who’s hostile
Stealth meter is removed because “Immersion”
Crosshair removed completely
Your inventory ammo is still on screen, moved closer to right corner [OPTIONAL]
Same as loot widget, it’s necessary
Why?
Majority of players have smartphones and Wi-Fi at home. Same as me. So you can download PipBoy app, connect it to the game and use your phone as real PipBoy. If you don’t have PipBoy replica, you can strap your phone to your hand, or just place it under your monitor or whatever you comfortable with. No in-game pauses and immersion overdosed! 🙂
========= Install =========
1. Setup PipBoy App on your smartphone (google it if you have any troubles)
2. Download one version of the mod and unzip it
3. Put Interface folder to your Data folder in the game directory
4. Change a line in “Fallout4.ini” in Documents/My Games/Fallout4
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\
to
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, INTERFACE\
Or just add INTERFACE\ to this line if you have any other mods, i.e. texture mods
