My definition of “The Most Fearsome Weapon”

Power Armor isn’t designed for being a set of armor at all, despite the ultimate resistance it provides.According to the terminal records located in Fort Strong:

General Brock’s Report – June 2076
Alpha Team just shipped out the first batch of T-51B suits to the front in China. Reports are already coming in that the suits are performing better than expected, chewing through enemy tanks and armor like they were paper. Word has it that some of the enemy troops are even surrendering when they catch sight of the Power Armor troops hauling their 5mm Miniguns. Looks like Alpha Team has earned themselves a weekend pass in Boston.

I don’t think the invincibility is the primary reason that making soldiers fearsome. Power armor doesn’t increase the firepower after all, how do they “chewing through enemy tanks and armor like they were paper”? I tried to answer this question with this mod. – The balance of heavy armor and mobility, and the kinetic force of course.

Keep this in mind: To keep this mod lore-friendly and for players’ convenience, NONE of the changes below will turn neutral NPC hostile.

Basic funtion works with PA without perk requirement:

– Anyone (PC/NPC) wears a set of power armor is now able to stun most the actors they are running into both neutral / hostile encounters (except those who has immunity to stagger).

– While colliding with opponents also wearing power armor, both parties suffer a minor stagger. Works with both neutral / hostile targets.

– Power armor landing effects: Causing knockdown effect and severe damage to hostile actors, while neutral actors remain unaffected. Those targets wearing power armor may negate knocking down and the damage, yet they will still suffer stagger effect.

– Power armor powerful punch: Who needs a power fist if you are inside power armor? Power armor unarmed damage has been greatly increased, and with multiple effects: Armor penetrating, causing stagger, 25% disarming opponents, and dismembered enemy bodies upon death.

Special function only works with Pain Train perk:

– Player is able to knock down enemies with any rank of Pain Train, only differ in damage (also greatly increased) and distance of knocking back (impact force). While the enemies with immunity to stagger may negate knocking down effect, they receive the damage upon collision as well.

*Extra function for Moving Target perk (only works without power armor):

– The first rank of Moving Target now unlocks an ability to cause stagger while sprinting. This works in both neutral / hostile targets, in order to push them away with high-speed sprinting. However, colliding into someone wearing a set of power armor is unwise, only the player will suffer stagger in this case.

After my long test, those changes did provide a wide diversity of combat styles. However, encountering enemies wearing power armor in close quarter is extremely dangerous as well.

Special NOTE:

This version was developed from previous mod MASS EFFECT, which has been changed in large field and was not supported anymore. The users of MASS EFFECT mod please uninstall it first, thank you for your long support.

Conflicts:

Vanilla ‘pain train’, ‘moving target’ perk and ‘power armor perk’ has been edited in this mod, other mods has changing these perks may over write the functions. Also for any mod who has modified / referred power armor unarmed weapon, landing damage effects is potentially causing conflicts.
