Big City Blues

Big City Blues

Replaces all 29 tracks on Classical Radio with urban blues recordings from the ’40s. Some of the songs have a bleak and sorrowful tone, while others are
upbeat boogie woogie songs. I feel that these songs fill a gap left from the included musical genres in FO4. Check out the video section so you can get an idea of what they sound like.

The atmosphere while exploring the wasteland is enhanced in a really unique way while listening to these old blues songs. I’ve also made slight adjustments to each track to make them sound more tinny, like they’re actually being played through the pipboy. I believe this enhances the atmosphere even further.

I don’t plan on stacking multiple songs under the same track like some other mods have, but I plan to add more once the G.E.C.K. is released. There are two versions of “Big City Blues”, one which only replaces the songs on Classical Radio, and one that also replaces the main menu song with “Tomorrow Night” by Lonnie Johnson.

Installation:

1) Download the version you would like; with or without main menu music replacement.

2) Extract the contents of the .zip to your Data folder (Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data).

3) Open your Fallout4.ini and replace “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\” with “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\”.
