PRE-CK Tool – Pex Upgrader

A tool which converts Skyrim .pex script files to Fallout 4 ones. It’s a command line tool that takes a single parameter – the FULL file name (which means including the .pex extension) of the script. Dragging and dropping your .pex files onto the program works fine, but only for one file at a time.

This is how I scripted for my Pre-CK XMAS quest mod!

If that tool fails to the load the output file, it wasn’t converted correctly and is corrupted.

Important! NOT ALL SKYRIM FUNCTIONS ARE SUPPORTED IN FALLOUT 4. So far, I’ve found that RegisterForUpdate and RegisterForSingleUpdate DO NOT WORK.

And as for the paranoid, scan all you want! This file is CLEAN! I think I would know if it had viruses in it and what-not, seeing as to how I wrote the thing myself in C++. ;D

I will open the source code to the public when the program matures. There are still some bugs I need to fix in the mean-time.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but this tool overwrites the input pex file – IT DOES NOT CREATE A NEW ONE. I will fix this next release. 😉
