Abernathy Trailer Park
Welcome to Abernathy Trailer Park. I envisioned this settlement as a recreation of a mobile home park I lived at with my grandparents when I was young. In many ways, I tried to mirror those old memories by building small spaces that look lived-in, with lots of personal items scattered outside of each home. There’s the guy with the basketball hoop he never uses, the dude who keeps his exercise equipment on the lawn, the lady doing hair out of her driveway. Each unit also has its own cooking station in the patio/porch area. The result is that at night, the settlers are outside, enjoying the fresh air and the weather while cooking, lifting weights or listening to the radio. It feels exactly like living in a trailer park at night in the summer.
In addition to the park, there is a small barn/garage in the back with greenhouse paneling and a health center. You’ll also find an ornately decorated bar on the interior of the farm’s main building, a manager’s office, and small patches of fenced-in farm plots. A simple but serviceable settlement with a lot of personality. I think it is very warm and cozy.
